How we use your details

Short version: we only take what we need to hand out fries safely. Here's how McCain Foods (GB) Ltd ("McCain", "we") handles the information you give us when you sign up at The Fry Drop.

What we collect

Your full name, your email address, whether you have declared a food allergy or intolerance (and your acknowledgement that you will speak to staff), whether you have consented to being photographed or filmed, and whether you chose to join the McCain promotional email list.

Why we collect it

To operate the sampling activation and issue your collection confirmation, to manage food safety and allergen duty of care, and to record your filming and photography choice. We rely on our legitimate interests in running the activation safely, and on your consent for filming and photography.

Marketing

We will only send you promotional email if you tick the optional marketing opt-in when you register. That is entirely your choice, it is not required to receive a sample, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

How long we keep it

Registration records are retained for 3 months after the activation and are then securely deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, or withdraw your filming consent at any time. Speak to a member of the activation team on site or contact McCain's UK privacy team.
